Topic: A Call For Justice

Opening Prayer: Oh Lord, fill me with the power of the Holy Ghost as I study your word.

Scripture: Psalm 7:1-17

Question(s) for Reflection
• What does the passage teach about God the Father, God the Son or God the Holy Spirit?

Nothing breaks a man’s heart like pursuing him without a cause or heaping false accusation on him though innocent. In such situation, the best option is to run to one who can give you protection and defend your cause (vs.1-2). The need for personal examination is very important in checking whether our troubles are self-inflicted or from our enemies (vs.3-4). God from ages past has remained a righteous judge who vindicates the just and punishes evil (vs.5-9).

We can always trust in His righteous judgment without asking Him to fight evil doers. What does vs.10-11 say more about God? David turns to the wicked and warns him (vs.12-16). The neglect of such warnings could be disastrous if the wicked does not repent of his sins (James 1:15).

Thanking the Lord in anticipation of answered prayers is an expression of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who is interceding for us (Romans 8:34).

Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?

Closing Prayer
• Make Romans 8:33-34 your prayers.

• Pray for the political leaders of your country to imbibe the virtues of truth, honesty and compassion for their citizens.

Offer a prayer of faith in line with Psalm 115:14: 1 Sam. 19-21; 2 Peter 3
