Topic: Protect Your Integrity
1 Corinthians 15:33, ESV – Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
All through the Scripture we’re told that we become like the people we’re around. You will catch what they have, so make sure they have what you want. The wrong people will feed you doubt, fear, gossip, and mediocrity. If they compromise your values and are negative and critical, that will rub off on you. Your dreams may be lying dormant because the people around you are telling you what you can’t become. Life is too short to hang out with people who are pulling you down and causing you to compromise.
You have to take bold steps to protect your integrity and future. You may need to change who you’re spending time with and surround yourself with people who are full of faith, who inspire you, who challenge you, who call out the seeds of greatness, who cheer you on and cause you to grow. Then you’re going to step up to a new level and see those dreams come to pass.
Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for making it so plain that I need to be selective about whom I surround myself with. Help me to be bold to evaluate and change who I’m spending time with and make sure that my friends are people of faith who challenge and inspire me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
