Scripture Union Daily Guide 26 July 2022 Devotional Message for Tuesday– I Remember My Faults Today

SU Daily Guide 26th July 2022 Devotional for Tuesday

TOPIC: I Remember My Faults Today

OPENING PRAYER: Oh Lord, grant me divine guidance as I read and meditate on your word in Jesus name.

SCRIPTURE: Genesis 41:1‐13

Scripture Union Daily Guide 26 July 2022 MESSAGE

God brings things to the oddest people’s minds in order to serve His purpose. Who would expect him to reveal the future to Pharaoh, a heathen ruler, through dreams? But who would have better carried the dreams forward promptly but Pharaoh?

Separated from his beloved father, sold as a slave by his brothers, unjustly imprisoned for refusing to commit adultery, and forgotten in prison, Joseph nevertheless was being prepared by the Lord God to establish the Israelites as a nation. What lesson does this teach you?

Read Also:

Magicians and wise men in those days were very powerful men, but their power was satanic. They studied sacred arts and the sciences of their time, read the stars, interpreted dreams, foretold the future, and practised magic.

The fact that with all their knowledge, none of them could interpret the king’s dreams must remind us that it is God alone who gives the right interpretation. What should we do when we remember our faults like the cupbearer (v.9)?

PRAYER FOCUS

JESUS KNOWS ALL ABOUT OUR STRUGGLES
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”
2 Corinthians 12:9

THANK GOD FOR:
☀ His faithfulness that helps us to continue in the Christian race despite all weakness, insult, hardships and persecution we are passing through.
☀ This grace that is sufficient to carry us through the rough road.

PRAY FOR:
☛ SU brethren who are passing through pain and those who are sick, that our God will visit them.
☛ The orphans, the less privileged and the widow and widowers that they will experience God in a new way today.
☛ Brethren as they pray for them to equally call or visit them today.

PRAY AGAINST:
⚠ Making choice(s) that take and leave us in the path of turmoil and pain.
⚠ All forms of undue struggle in the midst of spiritual warfare instead of resting / trusting or looking wholly unto God for solution.
